CIIC2024 is the fourth edition of CIIC series which provides an avenue for creative industry professionals and academics to:
The Malaysian creative content industry has grown tremendously. In fact, the industry has always been seen as a supporting platform for other industries in Malaysia and is now going international. In conjunction with that, government initiatives are provided for the community to venture into the creative industry. This can be seen through the policies spelt out in the Dasar Industri Kreatif Negara (DIKN). Hence, SCIMPA UUM takes this opportunity to organize the Creative Industry International Conference 2024 (CIIC 2024) as a platform where professionals, academics, and practitioners from all over the world can share their knowledge and expertise to help the industry further nurture its potential.
Artificial intelligence recently has made headlines as generative AI writing tools and image generators became better and more broadly available. People in the creative industry as to where these tools made a direct impact, worked out how to safeguard from and optimize them. Hence, it is timely for the Creative Industry International Conference (CIIC) to address these exciting advancements in this year’s theme:
CIIC2015 was held in the EDC Hotel, Universiti Utara Malaysia Sintok, Kedah on 4-5 October 2015 with the theme “Cultivating Creative Communities.”

CIIC2018 was held in the Institut Penyiaran Tun Abdul Razak (IPPTAR) Kuala Lumpur on 5-6 December 2018 with the theme “Creativity in the 4th Industrial Revolution“
CIIC2020 was held virtually on 3 November 2020 with the theme “Creative Industry in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Technology (STEAM).”
